Atty. S. Seydi ULUS | Founder
Our office which was established in 1958 is one of the oldest and well-known offices in Ankara. Following the founder, Atty. S. Seydi ULUS, Atty. Arbitrator. H. Tahsin ULUS and Atty. Arbitrator H. Ayşim ULUS continued to provide legal services as the second generation. With the participation of Atty. Z. Ilgın ULUS as the third generation, our structure continues to carry experience along with fresh power.
We are mainly working on the basis of property law and real estate law fields. Thus, we have been working intensively since our establishment on issues such as expropriation, suits of partition/elimination of joint ownership, pre-emption and all property-based disputes, title deed transfers, any land registration transactions, such as endowments, usufruct, appurtenances, disputes in terms of construction agreements, and contracts for production of work, problems arising from rental law and lease acts, urban transformation with its administrative and legal aspects, condominium ownership, and investment contracts.
Law on successions, will and testaments, and all kinds of disputes based on
inheritance are naturally included in our working experience as well.
On the other side, our office undertakes the preparation, regulation and negotiation procedures of all kinds of domestic and international contracts.
Litigation process within administrative law and procedures are also included in our scope of work.
Our office additionally ensures legal services regarding family law, divorce and matrimonial property and related matters.
We also provide consultancy services for the consulates and commercial attachés of several embassies such as; USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Singapore, Philippines, etc. in Ankara.
Correspondingly, our office can offer legal support in terms of labor law, commercial law, intellectual property rights, criminal law, enforcement and bankruptcy, etc. with our solution partner offices.
H.Tahsin Ulus | Founding Partner
Atty. Arbitrator H. Tahsin ULUS; was born in 1964. He had his secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College. He graduated from The University of Ankara School of Law in 1986 and has been working as a member of the Ankara Bar Association since 1987. He successfully completed his Master's Degree (MS) in Department of Political Science and International Relations at METU in 2006. As a postgraduate education, he graduated with honors the "European Community Law" Program in 1991, and the "English Certificate Program for Lawyers" in Research Institute of Banking and Commercial Law in Ankara University in 1992. He participated in Harvard Ltd "Negotiation Skills in English" Seminar in 1994, and to the "Contract Training Seminar for Iraq and Other Tenders" of the US Secretary of Defense’s "Defense Acquisition" Institute in 2006. He was a member of the I.B.A (International Bar Association), (IBA) S.L.P (Real Estate Law) Committee and C.C.B.E (European Bar Association), and he was also a member of the Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association board, between 2001-2003, and served as the General Secretary of the Arbitration Executive Board of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (UTBA) between 2019-2022. From 2022 to 2024. He served as a member of the Ankara Bar Association Council and the Chairman of the Committee of Developing Relations and Solidarity with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). He worked on Cyprus-Aegean-Eastern Mediterranean maritime jurisdiction issues. He speaks English in advanced level and German at an intermediate level. He participated as panelist and speaker in conferences/interviews such as UTBA's "The Last Word Has Not Been Spoken in Cyprus" and lecturer at UTBA's Law Workshop on "Expropriation Practices and Implementation Disputes". In 2018; he was granted to the "30th Year Award in the Profession" from the Ankara Bar Association and in 2019; the "Most Efficient Law Firm" award from TÜSİAV.
H. Ayşim ULUS | Founding Partner
Atty. Arbitrator H. Ayşim ULUS; was born in 1972 and had her secondary and high school education at Ankara Atatürk High School. She has been working as a member of Ankara Bar Association since 2002. She has graduated from The University of Gazi Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Business Administration in 1994 and from The University of Ankara School of Law in 2001. She holds an honorary membership in the Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association and previously served as the General Secretary of the Ankara Atatürk High School Alumni Association, where she currently serves as the President. She holds METU English Language Certificate and speaks English in advanced level and intermediate Italian.
Z.Ilgın Ulus | Partner Lawyer
Atty. Z. Ilgın ULUS; was born in 1993 and has her primary, secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College. She graduated from Bilkent University, Department of International Relations, in high honor list in 2016. In 2019, she graduated from CIU Faculty of Law also with honors. She has been working as a member of Ankara Bar Association since 2021. She received the WIPO Academy Certificate on Intellectual Property in 2020 and Turkish Foreign Trade Foundation’s Foreign Trade Expertise Certificate (Sabel Bildungsgruppe;2018-2019). She worked as a project assistant within the scope of projects carried out in cooperation with UNICEF-UTBA. She speaks English in advanced level, intermediate level Spanish and German.
